FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Do you accept insurance?

No, we do not accept insurance. We are a private pay clinic, and here’s why that’s a benefit for you:

Most insurance plans do not cover weight loss services or hormone replacement therapy (HRT), especially for midlife men and women. By operating as a private-pay clinic, we can give you:

  • Unlimited follow-ups each month

  • Responses to questions within 24 hours

  • Free wellness supplements during your first month of treatment

  • Free personalized nutrition and exercise plan

  • Full transparency and no surprise bills

  • Care focused on YOU—not dictated by insurance companies

Plus, your monthly price and initial visit include your medications (except for GLP-1 weight loss medications , which are paid for separately to 3rd party pharmacies).

You are welcome to use your insurance to pay for your labs. We will place your lab orders to be done at Labcorp in Abderdeen and you can give your insurance card to Labcorp. Or, you can ask your primary care provider to order labs for you.

You are also welcome to submit your visit summary and receipt (also known as a "superbill") to your insurance provider to see if they will reimburse you.

2. Can you take me as a patient if I have Medicare or Medicaid and want to pay cash?

Unfortunately, no.
Even if you want to pay cash, we are unable to accept cash payment from Medicare or Medicaid beneficiaries for services that might be covered under your plan — including HRT and weight loss treatment. We hope this changes in the future.

3. Do you specialize in PCOS, autoimmune thyroid diseases, or other hormone-related conditions?

No. Our clinic focuses specifically on midlife hormone therapy including:

  • Perimenopause and menopause in women

  • Low testosterone (andropause) in men

We do not treat PCOS, Hashimoto’s, or other endocrine or autoimmune disorders at this time.

4. What are your prices?

We believe in transparent pricing with no hidden fees. Your monthly price depends on:

  • Your personalized hormone dose

  • The number of hormones you are prescribed

  • Your chosen weight loss medication

Starting monthly prices:

  • HRT: Starts at $149–$169/month

  • Weight Loss: Starts at $179/month

All plans include access to your provider, medication (except GLP-1s), and regular monitoring, unlimited follow-ups each month, first month free of wellness supplements, and free personalized nutrition/exercise plan!.

5. What should I expect at my first visit?

Before your appointment, we’ll have you complete lab work so we can create a personalized plan just for you.
At your first visit, we will:

  • Review your lab results in detail

  • Discuss your symptoms and goals

  • Build a treatment plan tailored to your body and lifestyle

  • Answer all your questions and walk you through the next steps

You’ll leave with clarity, support, and a clear roadmap to feeling your best.

6. How often do I need blood work?

The frequency of blood work depends on your symptoms, your hormone dose, and your treatment plan. We tailor lab testing to each individual, but here’s a general guideline:

  • Initial lab work is required before starting treatment and before first appointment.

  • Labs are usually repeated every 1–3 months until your symptoms are well-managed

  • Once stabilized, we check labs every 6-12 months to ensure you stay on track

7. How much does blood work cost if I'm paying cash?

We offer discounted lab pricing for our patients:

  • Initial labs:

    • Range from $199–$269

    • Pricing depends on whether you’re interested in weight loss, HRT, or both

    • Note: Female hormone panels tend to be slightly more expensive than male panels due to the number of hormones tested

  • Follow-up labs:

    • Range from $139–$185

We’ll help you decide which labs are right for you and only order what’s necessary for safe, effective treatment.

8, Can I use insurance to pay for blood work?

Yes! You are welcome to use your insurance to pay for your labs. We will place your lab orders to be done at Labcorp in Abderdeen and you can give your insurance card to Labcorp. Or, you can ask your primary care provider to order labs for you. However, we do not guarantee that lab work will be covered by your insurance.
